Architecture love and hate it :)
Architecture has been the love of my life for a very long time now but it has also been the bane of my existence. We have a love hate relationship. But today I am going to show you the love part. I have come across some amazing work that I thought I should do a post on it. What do you think?

Ofra Lapid
I have come across this amazing artist Ofra Lapid and wanted to share the love. Ofra creates these semi dollhouses that are dilapidated and destroyed but are so beautiful. "Broken Houses" are all based on photographs taken of weathered and abandoned buildings then made into models and photographed again without the surrounding context. They are wonderful and combined two of my favorite things abandoned building and miniatures.

Man made Nature
So I have said it once before landscape architecture is not my forte but it's really starting to grow on me no pun intended. This weekend I was doing my studio work and went to go visit the site that we will be working with during this semester and it really got me thinking about how much we develop nature. Meaning that some places that we think that are naturally made are really not. The site that I went to was a man made reservoir and it really had the feel of something that has been there forever and something that wasn't planned and built. After that hit me I wanted to check out landscape architecture and see different interpretations of bringing design and nature together. So here are a few amazing landscape designs.

I'm not sure who designed these last three but i like them!

Oh Architecture
At the moment I have this love hate relationship with architecture. I think it may be due to the fact that I'm still in school and the people there don't want me to graduate any time soon. In actuality I only have a year and a half left but that still feels like to long. But anyway I am going to show you the architecture and design that i am currently in aw over.
I want to go rock climbing so bad!!!
I know this is not a house kitchen but i want it to be mine!!

The Nefelejcs Project
I am re-posting this amazing piece(s) of art from colossal because i thought it is the best thing i have seen in a while. A group of artists named themselves merge invisible with backing from Ludwig Museum in Budapest came together to create a group of murals on the side of a few buildings. But these are no ordinary murals they are what was the past. These black and white x-ray like murals are of the building that were once attached to these existing buildings. The group did some research of neighbors, site history, and some guessing from the vague outlines on the existing buildings facade. They are making the past real again in an almost poetic way. I find there work to be fascinating and beautiful. the photography was shot Preciz Photogarphy. But i got the there images from their facebook page merge invisible and colossal.

Feeling the Love
Almost 500 page hits yesterday I am feeling the love on this blog. thanks everyone that stops by I am thrilled!!!!! I would be happier if people commented but that's life. Anywho I said I would post about whats going on in my life on Friday so her is goes. For one Thanksgiving is coming up and I'm excited my older sister Latoya and I do the cooking (Mostly the turkey and a couple of side, also a special dessert). And number two I have been kicking some serious butt in school (well I think so anyway). I will show you some of my studio work bellow. But other then that just having some needed me time. I have been really thinking about my life goals and what I want out of life after college. I should have figured this out a while ago I am 27 after all this needs to be taken care of already. but I'm stuck and frustrated with myself but hopefully i will get through it sooner rather then later. Any suggestions??? So bellow is the work that I have been slaving over for the past week or so. but the teachers were not so thrilled so I need to better define things and work on my core concept. But that's how you grow and learn from your mistakes.
Oh background on the project: The class is developing a Observation Deck/ Theater Space (There is other program but those are the biggest) for the John Hancock Tower in Boston. The whole thing has to be based on a Superhero and mine is Storm from X-Man.
My concept: The center of both the John Hancock Tower and Storm are very strong and important. The core of JHT functions on more then just circulation but also as the heart of the tower. Storms powers come from within her and through her. Because her powers are emotionally charged I wanted to add that same element to the JHT core. By developing an experience from calm to a heightened emotion from the bottom floor to the top where is busts out from the center.

Dream Home Envy
Today's post is going to be short and right to the point. I have soooo much to do today it's crazy. So what i want to share with all of you today is home decor. I am not an interior design but sometimes I have this itch to redesign spaces. The pictures that I am going to show you are some inspiration for a future home that I can most likely never afford haha but one can dream. Without further ado here are the pictures.
Usually i don't even like wallpaper but this is really cool.
This is so my style but i would have so many great paintings on the wall that would probably change every other week. (Because i get bored of looking at the same thing everyday)
cutest play house idea ever!
love,love, love this lighting idea.
