Style for the home
Some days I wish that I owned my own home...but then I think about all the maintenance that a house requires and money and I like renting. But having my own place and being able to decorate it without others opinions and wants for the space would be heaven. Why does Boston have to be so darn expensive! Anyway I have been stock piling some really great stuff for the home on pinterest and I wanted to share it all with you guys if you don't already follow me on the other site.
this platform bed is so amazing and I love the extension of it with the light behind it!
need this bookcase chair!!!!
a great way to have soft lighting in a space so angelic.
my weird stair obsession is out and about again haha.

Andy Goldsworthy
Andy Goldsworthy has sucked me in and is holding tight. I am enthralled with his work and the man himself his philosophies are something that I want to strive for in my architecture and art. He is so in-tuned with nature and creating something from that with all natural materials he even keeps the pieces in the exact same spot that he gathers it. He is a man to inspire and capture your attention.
His Philosophy:
"I have become aware of raw nature is in a state of change and how that change is the key to understanding. I want my art to be sensitive and alert to changes in material, season and weather. Often I can only follow a train of thought while a particular weather condition persists. When a change comes, the idea must alter or it will, and often does, fail. I am sometimes left stranded by a change in the weather with half-understood feelings that have to travel with me until conditions are right for them to appear. All forms are to be found in nature, and there are many qualities within any material. By exploring them I hope to understand the whole. My work needs to include the loose and disordered within the nature of material as well as the tight and regular."

The Design Center
Well Monday was my job interview and I'm really not sure how it went. But I always freak out about things like this so it's best not to think about them. So instead of dwelling on that i went to see my friend Whitney because she works in the building my interview was held. She works for Charles Spada Designs and his showroom is insane and I pretty much wanted to pack up the whole store and take it with me. He works with mostly antiques from France and they are all amazing! It was really fun to just walk around and explore the little details and not so little details i need to go visit her more often.

A new Semester
So starting a new semester is a love hate thing for me. the one thing I hate is tests and studying I suck at testing but what can you do but work hard. However, the one thing that I really love about a new semester is buying a new sketch book. I love the fact that a new clean book means so many good ideas and some bad but mostly the idea of a fresh start. Here are a couple of sketch books that I could do with having.

Oh Architecture
At the moment I have this love hate relationship with architecture. I think it may be due to the fact that I'm still in school and the people there don't want me to graduate any time soon. In actuality I only have a year and a half left but that still feels like to long. But anyway I am going to show you the architecture and design that i am currently in aw over.
I want to go rock climbing so bad!!!
I know this is not a house kitchen but i want it to be mine!!

Reading
As you all know by now I am a big reader but the problem with that is I run out of books to read fast. So I would love to here what peoples favorite books are and perhaps i will read some of them. I need something new to read and something that i haven't read about five times already. So this is up to you readers to give me some of your favorites no pressure or anything but I would really really like to know. My favorite book is the Harry Potter series and anything by Alice Hoffman she has some really dreamy wonderfully written books. Anyway I hope everyone had a good Wednesday!

The weekend
So this weekend I moved my friend Whitney into her new apartment yay Whitney. I am slightly jealous of her new place it's so pretty! I got carried away and arrange her living room for her when she was out returning the truck heehee. But while moving and getting another friend to help move we drove through Quincy Mass right by the water and it was amazingly beautiful. The soft pastel colors of everything was like riding past a post card picture. On another note I finally finished knitting my hat. It is the worst hat of all time but I am soooo happy that i finished it!! Next i want to do a stuffed animal. Thank god for youtube!

But anyway I have found knitting to be relaxing and fun but so far I have only been able to make a crappy scarf that I don't know how to end. I don't know the way to tie off the scarf so if anyone can help with that please help haha. I want to get better to make these cute little guys! I found them on pinterest posted by the site spud and chloe she gives away free patterns but I have no idea what they instructions are talking about I am more of a visual person. I will probably never be ale to do these little guys but here's to trying.

The Nefelejcs Project
I am re-posting this amazing piece(s) of art from colossal because i thought it is the best thing i have seen in a while. A group of artists named themselves merge invisible with backing from Ludwig Museum in Budapest came together to create a group of murals on the side of a few buildings. But these are no ordinary murals they are what was the past. These black and white x-ray like murals are of the building that were once attached to these existing buildings. The group did some research of neighbors, site history, and some guessing from the vague outlines on the existing buildings facade. They are making the past real again in an almost poetic way. I find there work to be fascinating and beautiful. the photography was shot Preciz Photogarphy. But i got the there images from their facebook page merge invisible and colossal.
